This season has proven itself to be one of immense This season has proven itself to be one of immense discomfort. But even in seasons that seem to be heavy - God remains the same. He is unchanging. He is all loving. His character is sure and true. A sound mind comes from trust in who He is. There is no reason to be anxious or fearful. “In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment… But you remain the same, and your years will never end.” - Psalm 102:25–27

What is it Is it light in the distance It hums It What is it Is it light in the distance It hums It burns It beckons The air tastes sweet Like honey and I think wildfire It prickles my skin Like remnants of hope I couldn’t help but cling to Could this Could this be what it means to be called… friend There Do you see it Do you feel it I’m almost there Funny thing is I didn’t even know I was moving My feet They carried me Across weathered floorboards Through doorways left behind Past echoes of brokenness in abandoned places I walked through shadows Not knowing what I was searching for And then There it is Here I am Brilliance like none I’ve ever known It doesn’t just shine It doesn’t just beckon Or even burn It washes me clean Laughter raw, reckless, real erupts from my lips Who could have ever known That the light Wasn’t a star Wasn’t a flame It was the sun It was you It was me, reflected back And finally Finally I am home
It’s no longer the waves crashing against each o It’s no longer the waves crashing against each other, Nor the void of darkness where sparks mimic sun flares, Not even the chaos of the whirlwind remains... Now, it’s painted grey. My vocal cords, once strained, now subdued, My tears have carved valleys, left scars behind, My heart, torn in pieces, found its home in you. What desolate places within my soul have now settled, And yet, nothing has changed - you have only remained. When my breath gave out, and I sobbed on the floor, It was you... What was once darkness has turned to grey. Your words, the only thing I’ve had to cling to, I dug them out, desperate for water in the desert, Drank them like one starving for life. This change is all you... I don’t know how, I don’t know when... But now, It feels like the pressing is being lifted, My bones feel anew, The ashes no longer burn... Now, my soul sings... Grey is a lovely color when looked at through hope-filled eyes.

But honestly, it slipped through my fingers like sand falling through an hourglass. No matter how I tried, I couldn’t find myself lively. It has felt like sleep-sitting in a room where only God and I remain. I needed to put something in action. He didn’t come in blinding lights but came as a vulnerable babe. Who could have imagined our promised King coming to us in such a marvelous way! The heavens sang of His wonder and here we are today living and breathing because of His unconditional, unrelenting love for us. May rejoicing be the anthem of your heart. May peace be the river that floods your soul. You are loved by a God of signs, miracles, and wonders. We speak a refreshing over you in this upcoming year. May you encounter God’s mercy, grace, and goodness like never before. We ask that He flood your household with His presence, leading you into the ways of everlasting. We love you so so much. A lot has happened within the last two months. I A lot has happened within the last two months. I don’t know if it’s the fact I’m getting older or the fact that I just want to be present and intentional with those I’m around. But when I look back, I don’t have tons of pictures and that’s ok. October was spent with family and we had laughs all around. A lot of bravery has been felt this November and immense faith. I gained a great nephew and all I could do was relive his dad’s childhood staring at his little face. All the times I told him he’d be the best dad with a big family and how he’d rock it. Our best friends had their second little boy and I may of held him for an hour! He’s perfection. We took maternity pictures for my niece and I’m lowkey obsessed! Between Joshua laying in crazy positions and mine and Jonaca’s shoe swap - it was a classic good time. Then had a grand time at their baby shower. I’m trying to learn how to play magic! It’s a slow go. My besite got ordained and I was a basket case. I could have never imagined it. God is the master author of all things and I just stand in awe. My mom hosted a tea and it was refreshing and so good. We had such a grand time.
Life Update Part 2. My beautiful, funny, crazy ni Life Update Part 2. My beautiful, funny, crazy niece got homecoming court. Got to celebrate Will & Ashlyn & sweet baby Weston. 💙💙 I got to see my VHS tribe at See You At the Pole. I bought my first comic books. (I really don’t need another thing to collect but when you’re already in deep- there’s no turning back 😅) Joshua spent his birthday weekend living his best life. Cards and card stores. I went sky diving (and I know I already posted it but IT WAS SOO FUN) I took Sara to Prattville and was surprised by the pumpkin festival. We had a blast and even carved our own pumpkins 🎃 (with steak knives! Ya, we are proud) I got to celebrate the little life my ride or die is creating. 🩷🩷Ahhh, @ashlinc12 if your gift was only as stellar as mine. 🤪 jk I love you.
