DECLARE THE TRUTH!

The Challenge I presented you all with this month, was to make a Declaration Each Day.

So, let’s talk about why making Declarations are important to your life. John 8:32 says, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” The truth is vital to your existence. Truth causes growth and maturity. Truth cannot help but cause us to learn from past mistakes. It continuously raises the bar – calling us higher. All throughout the Bible, we read about declarations and proclamations made. This is still required of us today.

“So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed or hidden that will not be made known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.” Matthew 10:226-27

Declaring the Word (which we as children of God know to be the truth) sets us free in every way. We have been set free from doubt and shame. Unworthiness no longer keeps us bound. Jesus made a way and set us completely free. YOU ARE FREE FROM SIN.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9

But our flesh likes this world and all it holds. The enemy likes to constantly point out the past and will not relent in trying to snuff out your light. He comes like a thief seeking to steal, kill, and destroy. BUT the Lord came so we could have life and have it to the fullest. (John 10:10) The Word tells us to hold it (the Word) in our hearts and to keep it at the forefront of our minds, meditating on it, night and day. By doing so, we are making a declaration of Praise to our God for who He is and all that He is to us. Truth moves us into the depths the God.

Proverbs 19:21 tells us something powerful. “The tongue has the power of life and death.”

How often do you speak life over yourself? Really think about it! When you see your reflection, what do you see?

Do you see a Child of God, created with careful, loving thought!? Forever seen and heard by the one who breathed life into your lungs?

Do you see a diligent worker formed in the image of God, gifted with the ability of strength to persevere?

Do you see a priest of the house, running it under the authority of heaven: safe, peaceful, resourceful – guiding your family in prayer, steadfastness, building it on the foundation of Christ?

Do you see a woman adorned with gifts of patience, understanding, and compassion only compared to the majesty of her Gracious Father in Heaven?

Do you see a body created with care and precise detail only a Molder with fine steady hands could master?

You are a living – breathing display of the Kingdom of God. You are a testimony of unconditional love. Look at John 16:13 “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

We have received the promise of the Holy Spirit after the resurrection of Christ. When we receive Christ as our Savior, His spirit comes to abide in us. He reveals himself to us and speaks the truth, setting us free. Reading the Word and Declaring it over our lives produces victory and breakthrough. We are no longer bound by sin, but our habits and old self have to be erased from daily life. We are, after all, creatures of habit.

Declarations create a way! We are to Declare the Words of Faith! What is faith? “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1We Declare the Word, the Truth! We are Declaring God as the I AM above all things within our lives. We are making known the truth of God’s Word concerning God’s heart towards His creation. Proclaiming His greatness, ushering in His glory!

**I have my Declarations spread throughout my house. It’s not every day you can have a hairbrush dance in the mirror. But sometimes it’s necessary. Singing your lungs out, praising God for the truth we sometimes (most times) like to forget or disagree with. (I will spare you the video I captured these images with)
